Resumen:
La mano fue la primera plantilla empleada por el hombre para pintar sobre las paredes. La mojaba en pigmentos y la estampaba sobre la piedra o la utilizaba como reserva para estarcir sobre ella colores, dejando su huella silueteada al retirarla. Podríamos considerar que la mano fue el primer instrumento al cual el hombre recurrió como modelo para una reproducción seriada. La primera matriz. Su huella, la primera estampa. La mano, como símbolo y significante identitario, continúa siendo un elemento iconográfico muy empleado en el arte y el acto de estampar un recurso creativo que trasciende los límites del Arte Gráfico. A lo largo del presente artículo trabajaremos sobre las interrelaciones que pueden establecerse entre una de las imágenes icónicas más antiguas de la historia del arte, la mano, y el hecho de crear a partir del acto de la estampación, deteniéndonos en ejemplos muy concretos de su uso creativo.
Brief:
The hand was the first pattern used by man to paint on cave walls. He wetted his hands in pigments and printed them onto stone or used them to make stencils in their shape. We could acknowledge the hand as the first instrument used to repeat images. The first matrix. The hand’s print, the first imprint. The hand, as a symbol and synonym of identity, continues to be a widely used iconographic element in the Arts, and the act of stamping is a common resource, reaching beyond the limits of the definition of Printmaking. Throughout the present article we will elaborate on the interrelationships that may be established between one of the most ancient images in the history of Art, the hand, and the creation as a result of printing, elaborating on certain examples of its creative use.
